Made of the highest quality vegetable-tanned leather, these flask covers are hand carved with a classic laurel leaf pattern. 

This project began as an effort to challenge ourselves, practice our skills, and improve our techniques. Anna started by creating several prototypes of the case pattern, tweaking each one for fit and style. We chose a 5/6oz full-grain cowhide tanned at Wickett & Craig in Pennsylvania, known internationally for its superior quality. Sarah then took the cut leather and developed the carved design, a nod to some of her early hand tooled projects done over a decade ago. We gave each flask three layers of oil dye and a layer of our custom made water-resistant top coat for added protection. The edges of the leather are finished to a gloss with pure beeswax harvested from the beehive Anna keeps in her backyard. After setting the hardware, we finished the cases with an intricate and durable stitch.
